6/2709 Again on the Colorado, Clint had two clients. Good fishing, Catfish, Bass, Guads & Pan Fish. Fishing is good despite the high temps.

6/26/09 Clint fished the lower Colorado with two clients. Good day of fishing, but hot. Lots of Bass, Guads & Pan Fish.

6/23/09 Sorry for the lack of reports I've been covered up. Fishing has been good on the Guad for bass, & pan fish. We have scouted several other rivers including Lady Bird Lake. Other guides have reported good fishing though out the Hill Country.

5/15/09 Full day, caught hugh trout, and several other fish, trout pictured above (Beth), guided by Clint Jackson.

5/12/09 Fishing was a little slow. Caught several pan fish.

5/1/09 3 3trips today, Clint Jackson did full day, Bill did 2 half day trips, 1 morning 1 afternoon, all trip were productive, lots of fish to the boats. Largest trout 21"+.

4/18/09 Full day, several trout, 1 huge 7lb carp (see pic), a few bass, Great job first time fly fishers, Randy & Susan. Guided by Clint Jackson.

4/14/09 Full day trip, started a little slow, improved troughout the day, 2 Trout, Gaudalupe Bass, Several Pan Fish. Guided by Clint Jackson.

4/10/09 Full day with Docs Al & Dean, 4 fish to boat, 6 LDRs, a few misses, Guided by Clint Jackson.

4/7/09 Ed from Houston did a full day, 6 fish to the boat, 4-5 LDRs, several misses. Pictured above, huge trout on 22# midge. Guided by Clint Jackson. 

3/27/09 Fished full day with 2 couples from La. Everyone caught fish. Were able to get 6-7 to boat and netted. Guided by Clint & Chris.

3/26/09 Fished with Ray Sasser with Dallas Morning News, and Roger Turner of Dallas, rainy but productive. Got several fish to the boat, a couple big boys, and many great pictures.

3/24/09 Half day with Tom, beginner from Houston, Nice 19" rainbow in boat, 3 LDRs, several misses. Guided by Bill Higdon

3/21/09 Full day with Rick and Friend, 6 trout in the boat, several breakoffs, Guided by Clint Jackson

3/19/09 Half day trip with Walter & daughter Graham, 3 trout in the boat, 2 Long Distance Releases and several misses. Guided by Bill Higdon 

3/18/09 Project Healing Water Event, 5 Wounded Vets, everyone caught trout, largest 20". Thanks to all the guides Chris Johnson, Ted Midrick, Jeff Schmitt, Rus Schwausch, all the GRTU volunteers, and Alamo Fly Fishers volunteers. Hugh Success.

3/16/09 Full day with Don Lockwood, Guide Clint Jackson, Fast start with several rainbows to the net, fishing slowed in the afternoon.

3/13-14-15/09 Three day trip with two guides Kevin Hutchinson, Chris Johnson, Rainbows, Guads, Small
mouth and other.  Good fishing.

3/9/09 Many Rainbows, a couple of catfish, 2 Red Horse Suckers, lots of Pan Fish.

3/4/09 Full day with Tom & John. Netted a nice trout about 18" and broke off or had several more fish come unbuttoned . 1 Red Horse Sucker, lots of pan fish. Guided by Clint Jackson.

3/1/09 Boats have been floating the Guadalupe and Colorado Rivers with big grins being seen throughout the entire day.  All the guides have been having lots of hookups, a wealth of insect life renews itself during March with heavy Midge hatches and Blue Wing Olive hatches being seen.  

 2/27/09 Full day with Ed & Joe, Caught a little of everything, Trout (pic above), Smallmouth, Red Horse Sucker, Guadalupe Bass, Pan Fish. Guided by Clint Jackson.

2/18/09 Full day of fishing. Tim & Son from Houston and Fredricksburg netted 4 nice trout and had another 4-6 come unbuttoned, The largest trout was about 18".

2/15/09 Jake & his father fished a full day.  They netted 6 rainbows and had another 6 come unbuttoned. The largest was 18". Guided by ITHFE pro guide Ted Mendrick.

2/9/09 Full day trip with Bill & David.  Bill is from Victoria Tx. and David is from Midland Odessa Tx. They netted 10 Trout and several other species. Lots of perch, a catfish & red horse sucker. The largest trout was 19". Great Job  Guys. Guided by ITHFE pro guide Chris Johnson.

2/5/09 We fished a full day with Cordel from Austin and his friend from New Mexico.  Netted 5 nice trout and had several come unbuttoned. The Largest was a 22" Rainbow.

2/2/09 We had two guide boats on the Guad yesterday. Each boat netted 6-8 trout with a few trout coming unbuttoned.  Was a little windy and most fish were taken in the afternoon.

1/31/09 Fishing was a little slow for two beginners from Austin. They had several hook-ups but were unable to get one to the net.  It was a beautiful day and good time was had by all.  

1/28/09 Ted & Rus fished today and netted 15+ trout. The largest was 21".

1/25/09 Chris and Mark did a 4.5 mile float trip and picked up several nice rainbow. The largest was 20".

1/23/09 Fished a full day with Jeff & Ben from Houston.  Boated 10+ fish and unbuttoned on other 10+. The largest was a 28"+ Rainbow. ITHFE guide Chris J. will send pictures of the big one which was on the client's camera we will post asap when we recieve.

1/19/09 Guadalupe is clear and low. Winds are out of the north at 15-18mph.  Many great fishing reports. ITHFE pro Chris Johnson, clients Mark &Mitchell  boated 12+ trout and had another 10+ come unbuttoned. 

1/12/09 Guide Chris Johnson Fished with Stuart from Austin.  Had a good day of fishing, lots of hook-ups and several to the net.  The largest was a 20+" rainbow.

1/12/09 Guide Ted Mendrick fished with Rus Schwausch, owner of Epic Angling & Adventure in Alaska.  Picked up several fish, Ted is pictured at right. You can contact Rus for a great Alaska Adventure at 512.656.2736

1/11/09 The river was really crowed with anglers wading but the fishing was great.  Not just our clients but just about everyone we talked too was catching fish. Several fish over 26".   Great day for fishing.

1/9/09 The river is clear with a green tint. Anglers are reporting catches of rainbows over 20".  Winds are increasing as afternoon approaches. Winds for tomorrow forecast at 25-35mph.  Winds will settle back down late Sunday.

1/8/09 The river is clearing up since the holiday crowds are gone. Reports indicates the fishing is improving and will improve more as  TPWD &GRTU continues to stock.  Now is a great time fish the Guadalupe. 

1/6/09 We are not fishing today, but we are getting some much needed rain.  Good steady rain all morning.

1/4/09 We fished half day today mainly playing and moving some rocks around to compensate for the low flows.  Ted Mendrick, ITHFE guide had a good number of strikes and couple of nice fish on.  One of the nice Guadalupe Rainbows is pictured above.

1/3/09 fishing was a little slow today with the erratic weather and winds.  We did manage to get 7-9 hook-ups and one fish in the boat.  The one fish netted was a beautiful rainbow trout. 

1/2/09 We fished a half day today. We started with some casting lessons and tips for rigging up.  We then jumped in the water for some on the water experience.  We had a few strikes but failed to get a fish in the boat.  Congrats to the Medellin's for hanging in there and doing a great job getting the casts down.

1/1/09 Boys day out......Marcos from Houston Orvis, Ted from Sportsman Finest, and Mark, Ted's Brother-in-law fished today and a great time had by all.  Largest fish was 4lb red horse sucker. 2 nice trout and lots of banter.

12/31/08 Half day trip scheduled but the wind gusts made us call it early.  Fishing was a little slow but should improve tomorrow as the winds settle down.

12/29/08 In The Hills Fishing Guide Chris Johnson and clients Russ & Tom fished a full day, hooking-up a good many times and getting two trout to the net.  The largest around 19".  It was a tough day on the water. 

12/23/08 In The Hills Fishing Guide Chris Johnson & Clients fished today. Was cold & overcast. Hooked many trout & neted three large rainbow. The largest was 18" +.

12/17/08 Ted Mendrick pro staff guide and guest caught several nice rainbows, the largest about 18" plus.

12/14/08 Wind-Wind-Wind We fished today but called it quits early because of the wind. 20-30 mph gusts, just too windy to fish.

12/11/08 We fished half day today, hooked up on some really nice fish. Fishing was a little slow, but we got some nice trout in the boat.

12/9/08 Bill Higdon fished a half day and clients boated six rainbows, the largest was in the 20"

12/8/08 Chris Johnson, pro guide staff, floated today and clients boated several nice rainbows the largest was around 19"
